I will test it out shortly, while my current job completes.
I tried this and still no luck. I will try the previous version and see!
The files I’m having trouble with are something that has worked without problem until the update.
I can send you the files, but they are files that came from etsy. Will I have a problem sending you a file that I’m not supposed to distribute?
Cut Selected issues on a MAC and Thunder Laser. Says the file transferred, does not show up in file list. Reverted to V9.20 and everything works.
I want the LBRN project file, not just the source file, and no - we use them for testing, and they get your name applied to them so we know not to use them for anything else. Most are deleted after figuring out the issue.
Did you try the update linked above?
I searched for the older version of 9.20 in the archives and installed that. I am back up and running.
So, what I was trying to say is that I can’t run that those files from the .LBRN. I also can’t run those files when importing them as a new project. It seems you would want the LBRN file as well as the DXF file I’m importing from.
If you tell me how to attach the files and where to send them, I will.
The DXF would be pointless because it does not contain anything specific to LightBurn - it’s just art, so it won’t have any effect on how the data is sent to the machine. I want the LightBurn project file that fails to run, emailed to support@lightburnsoftware.com
reverted back to 9.20 and it works again.
And the version linked above does NOT work? Can you re-try? I posted a small change to it. Can you tell me which model of controller you have? (Ruida 6442? Ryxion K322N? Something else?)
I’m just a dumb carpenter, not a computer guy. I know enough to get into trouble.
If I import the DXF file into a new project, that project will not cut in 9.21.
If I open the LBRN file I have saved, the file will not cut in 9.21.
If I create a circle or square in either the imported new project, or the opened old saved project, those circle or squares will cut. While I understand that the DXF file is just the saved artwork, something seems weird about it.
While still running the 9.21, I opened other files I had saved before last night, that were bought on etsy. They don’t have any problem. It’s only files from one source.
Ruida 644XG
for me, the link above did NOT work… Only reverting back to the older version… I have Ruida 644XG as well.
Same for me. Link didn’t work, reverted back to older version.
I’m going to test this again, lower version I couldn’t get to operate, so I rebooted everything.
Tested. It will frame, but nothing else
This file you sent includes an image. Do any of the other files? (trying to figure out if possibly it’s the image layer that is the issue)
I have same problem gives problem with usb connection so wil not comunicate with laser. i have win 10 64 bit. And use k40 with smoothy bord. no ruida
downgraded to former lightburn and everything works perfect again.
Also files made with 9.2.1 wil not work with 9.2.0
Correct, and known.
I would have to go back and re-install the 9.21 and recheck the files to see which ones worked and which didn’t. Some have that image, some don’t. I can tell you when I was testing the files, when I highlighted parts of the file to cut, I did only highlight areas that didn’t have an image, and it wouldn’t cut.
Do this for me:
- Load a file into 0.9.20 that you know works, select part of it and click ‘Save RD File’
- Install 0.9.21, load the same file, select the same part, Save a 2nd RD file of that
- Send both files to support@lightburnsoftware.com
I need to figure out what specific things are different that’s causing the issue.
@ecb0927 - If you can do this too that would help - Pick something that fails, save an RD file from the old version and one from the new one, send both, so I can compare. I have to be missing something, but I can’t tell what.
