new version crashes on startup
and the possibility to download the previous version is also absent due to an error on the site
How to work now?

Please send the full crash log file.

You should be able to download from here: Index of /LightBurn/Release/LightBurn-v1.6.03/
I just tried it locally and there’s no issue.
You can also try this: Release 1.6.03 · LightBurnSoftware/deployment · GitHub

through your site error. Everything was downloaded through github. thank you

Hi. Haven’t you solved the launch problem in the new version? Version 1.7.01 also crashes on launch.

My only, possibly weak advice is this:
Right-click on LightBurn in your Applications folder, select info and check the box “Open using Rosetta”

Maybe, @adammhaile can see a hint in the crash log you sent.

It cold be corrupted prefs. I would recommend making a backup of your prefs.ini and then renaming the file so it tries to load fresh preferences.

none of your advice helped. There have been two program updates, but the program launch is still not resolved.
version 1.7.03 also crashes on launch

Hello, LightBurn team.

As a paying user, I expect that my contribution to the product development is justified: support should include stable and workable updates. I realize that there is always the option to use older versions of the software, even pirated versions that work without problems, but I continue to pay for a subscription because I believe it is important to support you.
However, paying for updates that don’t work on my device makes me feel frustrated and bewildered at this quality of versions being released.
I have had a problem running the program on my MacBook Pro M1 for several versions (from 1.7.01 to 1.7.03). The program just won’t start.
I hope you can offer a concrete solution to my problem. Not advice on how to solve it myself (I’ve tried everything I can find on the Internet on this error), but a version that will run on my computer. Look for solutions in version 1.6.03. It works stable for me.

We are trying to, but there’s just a base amount of information and troubleshooting steps that we need to go through in order to find a solution to your problem. This is the crux of software - if the developer cannot actually reproduce the same issue on their system there is simply nothing we can do without some assistance from the user in troubleshooting the problem.

As I noted above and have quoted below:

It would also help for you to send us support data (Help > Generate Support Data). You can do this from 1.6.03 and it will allow us to run with your preferences in 1.7 locally which may enable us to reproduce the issue locally.

Without that there’s literally nothing we can do besides guess at what your issue might be.

Hi Vladimir,

Are you still using 1.6.03?

I have just seen a similar crash and it was related to the use of virtual cameras. Are you using a camera with LightBurn?

Hi. I installed version 1.7 from scratch as a second app. It worked. But when I turn on the camera, everything crashes too.
Waiting for a stable version
