New to laser. I’m having some difficulties with greyscale (7W - X-Carve 1000). When I preview greyscale according to power it looks great. But when I begin the project the actual piece is nothing but burned (Maple), no changes just solid color. I’ve gone through to ensure that the laser is dialed in and using Jarvis, for the most part, I’m getting solid results. Any thoughts? Also, how do I go about setting up a scale for the various modes, pwr and settings etc?

Using a similar concept for image mode testing, you could replace the “squares” grid with a grid of a control image to achieve this.
