Newbie here. Often when I power up my Ortur laser (use Lightburn) it goes to bottom left and vibrates then stops. When I want to frame my design it will go to top right corner and vibrate. A friend who has a similar setup says the origin is set up outside the grid and the laser is trying to go there. Sorry I don’t know the correct lingo. How can I set up the machine correctly?
Need to elaborate.
Homing is not consistent, homes to different corner?
It homes correctly sometimes?
Always to bottom left, but sometimes vibrates?
Kinda what you are saying. Homing to bottom left. About half the time when I power up it will vibrate and the stop. I have tried unplugging the x and y axis plugs and that has worked a time or two. When it does that and I have a design I want to check framing, it will go to upper right and vibrate there too.
I would say that it is not consistantly activating your homeing switches.
If they are mechanical switches, I would power it off and move laser by hand down to homing position and look and listen to make sure switches are clicking when laser is moved against the stops.
Where are these homing switches you’re talking about?
YouTube to the rescue! Tips looked up are working well so far. Thanks for the feedback.
