Have the 80w OMTECH Red and Black. Working on a 27” wall clock. I have reduced the size to 26” still! At the middle of engraving it stops (no enough extend space). I have reduced the speed from 400 to 150 power is 80.
Anyone knows what’s going on here?
If you’re doing a raster scan you are probably going to need a couple of inches on each side of your work for the laser head to decelerate to a stop and accelerate back up to speed at the end of each pass.
Depending on speed & acceleration you might loose 2-3" on each end which means your 28" workspace might shrink to ~22ish".
