My laser is a 50W Raycus fiber laser, with a BSLCAD card. With the SEACAD software it cuts well. I have tried to replicate the parameters in Lightburn but it does not cut. It seems that it has no power. At the moment I am using the trial version 1.7.
The good news is that the Free trial version is fully activated throughout the trial and should work with the BSL Device.
The bad news may be that something in the Settings isn’t quite right.
I’ll reach out here to get a hand with this.
I’ll also move this into the galvo section so we can get more eyes on it.
Good and important to know. LightBurn uses the same driver so the SEACAD software has to be installed.
Do you have the bslcad.cfg and lmcpar.cfg files that came with your fiber laser?
yes i have it
Did you import those files into LightBurn with the importer?
It may be worthwhile to generate a new device profile by importing those files.
If there is a current problem with the manually entered settings, the new device profile with the imported settings may allow you to eliminate any incorrect settings. It also offers a chance to compare the new device profile to the current device profile. This way, we can see or demonstrate what might be wrong or missing.
Let us know what you discover.
I’ll take the test and let you know what happened, thanks.
