Hi all. I own a sainsmart 3018 cnc router/laser engraver. Its running grbl 1.1 and im using the latest version of lightburn. The laser that came with it died, so after researching a replacement i purchased the Neje 30 watt laser module. Watching the videos on youtube made it look like it was plug and play but its anything but on my 3018. I cant get anything out of it unless i plug an external power supply in while its connected to the 3018 board, and then it stays on and wont turn off. I cant tell you the model of the 3018 board as it doesnt have anything written on it. ive attached photos, hope they help.
