Completely new to Laser Engraving using an Ortur LM3 and saw a few YouTube videos regarding the white tile method.
Is there a template file to download, or somewhere I can find the template / instructions online? One of the forums had a link to a resource here, but reached “Page Cannot Be Found” URL.

Welcome to the Forum! Be prepared for a lot of learning as you move from one project to the next.
Each laser, material, room temperature, humidity, coating material, coating thickness, and tile composition is different, so there really is no template that would be of any use. Use the magnifying glass in the upper right and enter NTM (norton tile method) for your search text. And read everything you can.
I got 24 hits, and some of them are quite long. Look for the ones that mention “diode” in the postings. Then graduate to a NWT (norton white tile) search for 50+ threads.
Bear in mind NWT usually means you are doing images. Unfortunately, that is the hardest thing to do with a laser, and the worst thing to start out on while learning your laser. Practice on cardboard (save your Amazon boxes) using various designs, then move on to wood to get experience.
Don’t get me wrong, you can jump right in with images if you want. But I think you should learn your machine and Lightburn first.
