I know this has been discussed a lot but I was doing a project that worked just fine, I was about to do the same project on a new sheet of material and then got an Not enough extend space even though the material and image in LB was in the exact same position on the table… the only difference was I increased the engraving speed… would that trigger the error? Thanks
Yes, because the “extend space” = “overscan distance” is determined by the speed & machine acceleration. As you increase the speed, the distance required to reach that speed at a constant acceleration increases.
If you check the Preview
for each speed, you’ll see how the overscan distance increases with the speed:
Ruida controllers compute the overscan internally, so make sure you have updated LightBurn’s simulation parameters to get a more accurate Preview
