Was talking to restaurant manager about laser work and she asked if I could do this. She was recently married and wanted something to record (remind her husband?) her wedding date. She did not want any fancy engraving. Stand is included.

If you are talking about the blackness, that is normal and expected for bamboo. I was surprised by how much it can vary with no hint from the material color in the bands.
You could even add a QR code to make a calendar event so there’s no reason for someone to forget

I think I see a problem for him if she is already worrying about him forgetting the date so soon after getting married. LOL
