I was bought a 10W laser for my birthday 10 months ago. Great I can make things for Christmas presents I thought. Wrong! I think I can keep my house warm this winter with all the wasted wood I have. You have a camera, great, now put it back in its box. It will save you having to buy one later. Get your head round setting up the laser without the camera, there’s plenty of help here. When you’re more proficient then get the camera back out. If you can’t find relevant information just play around with various settings and eventually and suddenly everything will become clear. Patience my friend, patience and good luck.
It’s much easier now that i’ve seen it. Thanks.
I’ve finished configuring and aligning my camera. I used white card but I guess that the laser was bouncing off it as hardly anything was being engraved. I tried some light grey card. That worked.
I have manged to configure my camera and to create an alignment.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to open the template. I’ve forgotten how to do it and I can’t find the link to your configuration video in this thread.
I’ve tried clicking on the camera in the top nav/menu bar but nothing happens. Is there somethong else that I am meant to do?
Can you send me the link to the video again?
I’ve tried searching my browser history but I can’t find it.
Have you checked the port that LB is using, At start up for LB I have to change the port to port 3, every time but I am aware of .
I have been into 3d printing for around 3 years and more recently Laser printing.
Personally i love the “geeky” side of it trying different boards and mixing and matching different setups. i love lightburn its only fault i find is no freehand tool. For me it is just a hobby because as i say i love the techy side of it… light burn is not to difficult to master and there are loads of great videos on you tube to get you started. stick with it and have fun before you know it you will become addicted im sure. Welcome to the world of Laser printing / cutting…
