Is there an updated users guide for cutting various thicknesses of Acrylic. Looking for recommended Lense, Speed and Power Max and Min.
I use 2 and 2.5" lenses to cut up to 10 mm acrylic, have also cut 15mm but it takes more Watts than my nominal 60Watt to get something decent.
I cut 8mm with 6.5mm/s and 40% power/10mA. 4mm with 15mm/s and 14 mA…
The thickness is only one factor the machine must handle, the cut quality also determines a lot and here the speed has an important role.
The most correct thing is to do a test with each material before starting a production or just want to cut something nice for private use. This guarantees that I will not ruin my material/order.
Your own database of your materials is the best and the one you can rely on because you have tested it yourself.
ps. for cutting jobs I always use the same power for minimum as I use for max power.
