Novice user: Defining laser path

Reaching out to the community for assistance.
I’m a novice user working with Lightburn and Sculpfun S30. I have created the attached file and am currently doing a “test” burn. After launching, the time to complete is 1+ hours. It appears that the laser is burning in the same manner as an inkjet printer (line by line). I was expecting the laser to simply trace the image. I’m guessing that the laser path needs to redefined however don’t know how to change it Background project development; I copied the image from a picture, pasted to file and then selected “trace image” then simply added the text. Is there a way to change the laser path within the file in order to reduce the time required to complete is project? Thanks for your assistance. Steve

Your blue layer is set to 5 passes, is it on purpose?
However, the highest time saving can be picked up by setting your black fill layer for individual or group fill.

Thanks for your review and for responding so quickly. The five passes is clearly a mistake, I had been doing some cutting on a prior project so need to be more careful there. Appreciate your insight around the group fill. I’ll play with that setting and see if that reduces the burn time.

Here’s some additional information, just in case you haven’t seen it.

Hope it’s helps.

You have one layer set to fill, that will fill the object. If you want just an outline from the tool path, turn off fill.

Learn to use the preview - it will save you time and materials … You can easily see what it’s doing or about to do…
