Attached is a typical puzzle I cut. During the current phase, you can see that it draws all the horizontal lines 1st and then comes back and cuts the vertical lines followed by the outer cut to finish. Is there anyway to have the laser cut each piece individually and then go onto the next one? Thanks in advance.
I think each piece would have to have it’s own tool path… is there any intuitive way to know if the top of this one, is not really the bottom of the other one?
I’ve seen these cut out on lasers and I don’t think it cut each one out, but I don’t remember…
Good luck
That requires each piece to be a separate shape with a closed path around it.
If you have a bitmap image of the puzzle lines, you can take advantage of LightBurn’s Trace Image
tool to get a vector path around each shape. Normally, folks want a single path, but in this case you want both paths.
If you don’t have an image, you could use a screenshot and scale the result to the proper size.
Thank you for the advice. I will give it a try.
