OBS Camera Lightburn issue [BLACK SCREEN]

Hello Community,

I would like to add an RTSP wireless camera to my Lightburn. I installed OBS full package to my Windows 11 and added a Media Source. I added my RTSP stream with username and password and it was working because I can see my camera picture inside OBS.

After I turned on the virtual camera and I tested it in Discord. Its working well and I can see my Wireless camera picture in discord too when I enable camera in a call.

Now I went to Lightburn and choosed Default Camera System settings and choosed Virtual Camera from the dropdown list but its totally black.

Of course I also tried the other Camera System settings.

I tried to check all permissions of my Virtual Camera, but of course it does not show up on Windows side, but I tested via Discord or Zoom and the camera picture is shown as my primary camera.

Please help me, Im really cannot find any way to do that.

OS: Windows11 Home 10.0.22631 build 22631
OBS: OBS Studio 30.2
Lightburn: 1.7.03

Thank you very much!

In the meanwhile I also tried SplitCam instead of OBS, but same result with a new virtual camera appears.

I tried it on a different laptop where is an integrated camera already. Its also windows11. I installed OBS and an older version of Lightburn 1.2.4 and its working perfectly without any settings. I’ll try today to install older Lightburn to my desktop PC too.

I assume it is something about windows firewalls/security. But do the test with the older version of lightburn and come up with news.

I think you are right. I installed same softwares on the desktop and its not working here.

What should I check?

Wait for someone who can help you because my “windows knowledge” stooped in windows XP.

Please try the latest LightBurn-v1.7.04 release candidate, since there have been recent changes relating to virtual cameras:

Hello Dear NicholasL,

Thanks for your hint, I deleted the old installation with every specification to be sure its a fresh install. I downloaded the newest Pre-release and I installed it.

Sadly there is no really change, I tried both Camera System setting. Black Screen.

What is interesting with same softwares same versions and same OS its working on my laptop.

Do you have any idea what can be missing from Windows 11 OS what can do this?

The only difference I see next to the camera name in Lightburn between the two computer on the working one its written ( OBS Virtual Camera Windows Camera ), on the not working one its ( OBS Virtual Camera ) only.

Thank you!
