Odd behaviour with downloaded SVG

Hey gang,
I’ve been downloading and burning stuff off of Etsy and haven’t run into any issues. But this one has me wondering what’s wrong. As you can see, everything looks good on the screen

However, when I print it out, I get these weird double lines that only happen on files from this one source and I don’t see them anywhere else.

Again, I’m only seeing it with a few of the graphics I downloaded. So just seems weird. Anything else I burn looks fine. Ideas?

What scan direction are you using?

Is your laser fixed securely to the waste board?

Are all of your attachment points (belts/bolts) firmly tightened?

Is your cable dragging on the product?

What are your speed settings? First thing to do is SLOW DOWN. Just because you can move the laser at 1000000 units per minute does not mean that is the best setting.

The program is WYSIWYG - if it shows on the preview, the program will send it to the laser. If there is a mechanical problem with the laser machine, the program won’t ever know about it.

Hi James,
The laser is secure against the waste board and isn’t going to move. The belts are good and tight No cable dragging either, speed and power have varied based on material. I was printing at 90 degrees and had it happen with another image that I traced

Speed 3000 power 80

I changed the direction of printing back to 0 degrees and so far that looks like it’s working

Will check my Y cables again. Just weird that it was an all of a sudden thing.

I have been told that it is best to run the laser along the X axis, as there is less mass to change direction vs. the Y axis with the gantry. Makes sense. Slow down, increase over scan for longer deceleration and acceleration times.
