I just purchased an OMTech Integrated 30W Fiber laser and I still cannot make it work.

It came bundled with Lightburn, and it included a flash drive with drivers and EZCad2. After installing the machine, and connected it to my Windows 11 computer, it asked for a driver, and I provided the ones included in the flash drive, but to my dismay, Lightburn could not find the laser.

I contacted the seller and I was told the Lightburn driver was not in the flash drive. The one in the flash drive is recognized as Laser Mark Control Board V2 (USB) and their solution includes to disable Driver Signature Enforcement on my Windows 11 computer.
Has anybody had to do that with your fiber laser engravers?

You’ll need to install the drivers that come with lightburn. You might need to do a driver swap. Check this article out.

That was really easy.
I do not understand why the seller was suggesting a complex and dangerous solution to install the driver
