The link is not working here with me

I’m not sure what Bernadette is seeing or doing but, assuming I have the right file, everything looks as expected to me…

Fine, then we just have to have Bernadette explain a little different so we can help. :+1:

Yes it’s the big red heart on the left.
I did a copy and paste into lightburn and then did the trace as one of you suggested.
So today following on from the video again. He is very good and easy to understand and I am even watching the transcript. Doing okay then he uses the union function which after a lot of looking I realise that is now the Boolean assistant. But when I try to use the different options they are not what I need.
I wish I could up load a picture for you but I don’t know how to do that.
I appreciate all your help.

What steps have you been taking to get the art from the website and then into Lightburn?

I clicked the big green “download SVG”, (usually this puts the file into the windows “downloaded” folder…feel free to move it wherever convenient), then used “import” in Lightburn to bring the downloaded file into my open project. No other steps required to achieve the result I pictured.

And there it is!!! Lol
When I learnt at the library how to use the software and laser, we were told to use open file not import.
When I saw your last post Chris, I went back to the very beginning of the video I am following and yes he uses import and not open.
I missed this because I just thought he opened a previous file.
So now back to the drawing board and hopefully I will get through it.
I really appreciate your patience, all of you.

Wonderful! Keep plugging away at it. Don’t be afraid to “just click stuff”. If it screws something up, use undo. No harm, no foul, and you’ll probably have learned something intersting.

That’s my motto too! - I like that :+1:

A small helpful hint for open/import.:
OPEN - only once at the start,
-otherwise-
IMPORT,
-exception-
IMPORT an extra .lbrn2 file IF it is to be PART of the already open file.

Ctrl+Z (undo) is one of my most-used shortcuts. I need to map redo to Ctrl+Y but I keep forgetting. Ctrl+shift+Z doesn’t work so well for my fingers.
