Offset shape sizes?

Sooo. I have this problem and I’m not sure if it is software related or if it is hardware.

I cut two of the exact same parts out of 1/8th MDF. The parts were along different axis, the one of the X axis came out perfect BUT the one on the Y axis is offset from the other one by 1/16th of an inch. I have re-calibrated the steppers on the machine and it does the same thing. Are there any suggestions on what might be causing this? I’m running Ruida 6445 with both RDworks and Lightburn.

Step size calibration would be the first thing that comes to mind. Check to make sure your Y belts and couplers aren’t loose, or you’d have backlash which could affect the size as well.

I did the step calibration this morning, the same thing happens. The belts are good, no slop or loose couplers.
