I seem to be having a similar problem with a new Cloudray CLM10U laser. The difference is that it’s the red dot that seems to be moving back to the center of the field between each pass.
Also, if I have more than one pass selected when using bi-directional fill, the laser completes all of the passes in one direction (for example, left to right) before doing the same number in the opposite direction, instead of just going back and forth. So it’s moving 2x what it needs to, slowing things drastically. It works fine with only one pass.
It only happens when using the chuck rotary, and only happens when using Lightburn. When using the Raycraft software (as horrible as it is otherwise), there is no pause between slices and return to center of the red dot, and bi-directional fill works properly.
My other Cloudray UV5 laser does not have these issues when using the same files, same rotary setup, and same version of Lightburn.
I have the same controller board as shown in this post (but not the problem from this post) Commarker Omni X and Lightburn - LightBurn Hardware Compatibility / Commarker - LightBurn Software Forum
This is also frustrating because this laser was an expansion of my business, I needed more throughput, and 90% of what I do is with the rotary. When using Raycraft, it is almost twice as fast as the UV5, but that software doesn’t do much of what I need Lightburn for, and all my production files are in Lightburn. When using Lightburn, it is less than half the speed of the UV5.
Has there been any reply from Lightburn about this issue? I couldn’t find any other relevant posts.
