Hi all, I just got my new omtech 30w autofocus galvo from omtech
I’m new to fiber lasers and very good with co2 lasers
So I did a few tests and my texts were leaving shadows so today I wrote the text at different lighter settings and boom I see these lines extending on the side of the engraving on both end which is what’s leaving the shadows all around the text
Is this a timing issue?

Yes, timing.
Try it again with bidirectional off.
Try it a 3rd time bi off, 2 sublayers, fill and line
You will see haw far timing is off looking at the left and right side.
Then watch the video a couple times, then following along with you laser.
Which video are you referring to?

This was made for ezcad2, 2 things I do to make it more LB equivalent. Make 2 sublayers, one line and one fill (Ez does both on same layer) Second, make your start point and direction lower left and CCW to match video.
Watch it through once before you start messing around with your laser I would suggest.
Need a good USB microscope if you don’t have one. I think minimum around 1200X. 500-700 works if that’s all you have.
