Omtech 80w 2440 Pro - Stops mid engrave, have to hard power the machine

I’ve using Lightburn on a Macbook Pro M3, connecting via Lighbridge and tried USB, but result in he same thing occurring.

Anyone else experience this?

Other folks with similar problems seem to regain happiness after replacing the machine’s failing 24 V power supply. The controller may be failing, but the power supply is a much less expensive part and it’s worth starting there.

Omtech 150AF screen flashes and wont boot up

I have had my omtech for about a year now and this issue started about 4 months ago. It was running a job and stopped mid job. The screen began to flash and it kept trying to reset in between flashes. I contacted Omtech but same as anyone else there were no help. Laser turns off, screen blinks, controller restarts

As a rule of thumb, replace the supply with one having at least 50% more current capacity, as the OEM supplies are grossly under-specified for the actual maximum current to all the motors / lights / controller / valves in the machine.
