Hi Guy’s
Like I said above my laser just started doing this yesterday I sent an email to OMTech but havent heard back from them yet I just wondering if anyone here has had this issue. Thanks Dean
My first thought would be a power failure of some type, such as the 24V that usually feeds the Ruida.
Smart to send a note to OMTech and make them aware of the issue.
That’s pretty much standard debugging of these, never seen one reset during a job.
I also forgot to mention if I push the button after it resets it will go back and finish the burn from where it stopped.
Is there any error messages on the machines console?
Yes it stops the burn then says Resetting then asks if you want to continue tap yes and it will return to where it stopped and continue and finish the burn.
Operation of the Ruida is to attempt to resume the job it was doing after a power failure. I’ve had mine do exactly that, when power is returned to operation, it reboots and asks to continue the job.
I don’t know of an easy way to check this as most intermittent failures are hard to pin down.
I don’t think you can really check out it’s operation without access to the controller and power supplies.
Have you ensured there is not a mains connection that has worked loose or something else that may interrupt power? Something as simple as the mains power cord working it way out of the connector…
