One axes stopped working, i think

Got my laser engraver about one week ago, and started lightburning, its a Neje master 2 with a Neje 7 Watt module.
yesterday, after a weekend of small works, i setup the first big work and left the machine running
When i got back to the computer the laser was still working but the software (NEJE v5.6.5) was stopped and i couldnt see the progress by the pc.
so i paused (not stopped) the engraving thinking to continue the work but it gave me an error and quit the work.

This morning i started the machine to set again the work but the machine’s x (horizontal) axes doesen’t work, i mean, when i click the previewing location button only one axes works and the horizzontal one isn’t moving. even if i start a print it start to make some strange horizzontal lines…

PS. i tryed to use LaserGRBL but it don’t see the laser connected to the PC

Is it possible that one of the connectors came unseated? Check all connections including on the control board.

It is also the Power Management for USB timed out and turned off the port.

i’ve tryed to unplug and replug all the connectors,
I’ve noticed that, wile using the built on button that set the home coords, the engine of the x axes works but it seems like it dont want to go un positive x coordinates

First and foremost. Don’t do this! You are asking for a fire. As you stated, the X axis stopped moving. Fortunately the laser apparently stopped firing as well, other wise it would have started a fire.

So, are you using Lightburn or NEJE software?

Is this starting a homing cycle, or setting the origin position? They are not the same.
A homing cycle is this: This process is all within the controller of the machine. Software only sends the initial command and the controller takes over. The $h command is sent.
The laser head moves toward the “Home” corner stopping in each direction as it contacts corresponding the limit switch.
The laser stops all movement once both switches are engaged.
The laser head then pulls off the switches slightly until the switches disengage, then moves back slowly until the switches engage again and stops.
This is the home position. This can be used with Absolute Coordinates Start From.

An Origin position is when you move the laser to a position and press the set origin button. This setting is used with User Origin in the Start From dialog.

Need more clarification of what you’re doing / experiencing to help further.

here, got it working by resetting the firmware,
thaks for the advise about what to do while it work

Thanks for the time and the aviability :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:
