Open Project window stuck in full screen mode

Hello Community,

When I open an existing file in Lightburn 1.3.01 / Win11 on my laptop, the Open Project window is in full screen mode. I had extended the window to full screen previously to see icons in large size.

Now, I’m unable to bring this window back to a smaller size. The workings inside the window itself are fine.

  1. Tried killing LB and restarting / restarted computer as well
  2. Moved the mouse pointer to the far edges of the window and scroll the window back - doesn’t work. The pointer changes icon to the double arrow, to show movement mode is enabled.
  3. Right click on the top bar for the window menu (Restore / Move / Size) doesn’t work.
Close the window and open it to see any reset, but no luck.

Stuck with this window in full screen. Any ideas to get it down to size? I am able to function with LB normally in all other ways.

thanks in advance!

Have you tried ‘zoom to page’
image (Ctrl+0) ?

Thanks David, just tried it - no go

I’ve also tried hiding and unhiding the taskbar to be able to grab the bottom corner of the window with no luck.

The only other thing I can suggest is ‘Window’ dropdown menu. ‘reset to default layout’

thanks, still no luck with ‘reset to default layout’ option.

have also tried resizing the main window to a smaller size and then using the new file (ctrlO) option. still opens the window full screen and can’t resize.

Can you take a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Does the F11 key do anything for you? That might be for just browsers etc.

the top bar of the window is black - where it says open project, dunno why the screenshot shows a white bar

Right click on the header it and click restore

So is this a problem with the file selector dialog?

This looks like a partial screenshot. Seems to me you could simply resize the selection dialog window? Does that not work?

this is the full size screenshot - it spans the whole screen of my laptop. i have tried everything that i know to resize this window - including grab the bottom corner where the resize triangle dots are - but cant seem to make the woindow budge

not sure what you mean - the window itself works fine, just cant resize it.

here is another screenshot with the taskbar autohide setting off, just FYI
thanks.

The screenshot shows the file selection dialog window as if you were opening a project. Is that the window you cannot resize?

Grab the highlighted area here and resize the window:

Jeff, when I right click on the header, the restore option is greyed out. It shows up for a brief moment and then greys out before I can do anything. Only Move, Size come up and they don’t do anything. Close works, but then back to square1.

Tried that initially, but it doesn’t work. The cursor changes to the angled dual arrow resize mode but can’t budge the window.

What happens if you double-click the title-bar?

that’s IT!!

genius - thanks everyone for the inputs. one more win11 issue sorted out
