Openbuilds Black Box X32

Greetings Mike, and all those following this thread. Yes, I do like to tinker, and I have a project machine, that now only resembles the S9. Many of the “upgrades” are sourced from OpenBuilds.

Again, patience and attention to detail are valued over the whine. And I find myself at times in the whine camp. And appreciate the forum’s consideration.

This weekend’s journey with the X32 started at square one. Updated the usb driver. Followed the X32 documentation to the letter. I found I had missed the “Flash” step. Replaced limit switches with Open Builds components. Found that the X32 uses positive coordinates, and researched Lightburn documentation for the work around. Setting feed rates in $100, $101, and $102 for belt drive, GT2. And per documentation, $5=7 (4x was $5=0).

All is now well, and the maching is singing.

So, although the original S9 5 watt module is working well. I want more. Sights on the 20 watt range.

I had a boss ask me when I bought my first car. He asked, “If you wanted a fast car, why didn’t you buy a fast car?”

Hey. I like to tinker.
