I have some DXF files that will not seem to open.
They open up fine in other Cad programmes but again will not open when exported back to lightburn.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Paul.

Can you upload any of the files you’re having problems with?
Ok, will give it a go!
MS .375 Cutting.dxf (272.8 KB)
LightBurn definitely does not like that file for some reason. Just locks right up. I did notice in LibreCAD a bunch of little speckles and micro-dashed lines. Maybe LB doesn’t like those?
I eliminated a bunch of visible garbage in LibreCAD and saved it. LightBurn would then open it but I get this:
Still some garbage. Much of it invisible, apparently
Try this:
MS .375 Cutting.dxf (133.5 KB)
Ok, as you say: other apps seem to open it without issue but as @clark says, it just seems to lock up LB. I tried re-exporting it from DraftSight but that also had the same issue as the original file. I then imported to CorelDraw 2018 and then re-exported it. That exported file came in seemingly without issue. I’ve attached the LB and DXF files for you. Perhaps @LightBurn would like to see what’s going on with your original file(s)
MS .375 Cutting CDR Export.lbrn2 (564.9 KB)
.
MS .375 Cutting CDR Export.dxf (1.3 MB)
This is already fixed. It was an issue with the new dashed / dotted line support, and is corrected for the next update.
Thanks to all for your help.
I have since opened it in Inkscape saved it and then opened it in Lightburn without issue.
Thanks again,
Paul.
