Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro, S2 LU2-10A, 10W Windows 11 USB Driver?

my Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro, S2 LU2-10A, 10W rececntly purchased has an issue. I cannot establish a connection with my Window 11, PC with Lightburn software.

This model has a red LED light indicating power, works fine, homing beautifully and what should happen is the blue LED indicates a connection to my PC, when plugged into your PC, just does not work and I’ve tried several other cables.
In Device Manager it does not appear. I’ve exhausted my computer knowledge,
I need assistance please.

Power on the machine, plug your usb

Right click windows menu → device manager
Expand ports and disks
Take a picture

Unplug USB

Does any device appear in the device manager with a yellow !?

Because as far as far as device manager goes, the machine is not being seen.

And no serial port is being seen correct?

Does computer chime at all when usb is plugged in and or out? the typical usb sound?

There are no yellow “!”. It does not chime when it is plugged in. I tested both USB ports on my laptop with a external cd/dvd drive and It chimes when it’s connected.

At this point i would try to understand if there might be something faulty on the controller
In order
a) a different USB cable if you have
b) inspect closely the USB port to see if any pins inside are bent /damaged
c) try a different computer for sanity check
d) if all fails, open motherboard tray and inspect the front of the motherboard for any damage near or around the usb port or the 2 buttons

Will do. This laser is less than a week old, but you’ve outlined some potential returnable issues.

less than a week old, stop c) and evaluate return before d) for sure

after checking c) & d)
c) same results
d) removed the motherboard housing and back plate and found around the area of the USB port some sort of discoloration, not sure what to make of it (attached picture).




this definitly does NOT look good
