Ortur LM2 Shuts down

Hello,
Looking for some help as to why my laser stops midway through my project. I am attempting to do a monogram logo for a customer and want a combination of a circle set on the Line feature, then for the letters I am trying to do those as a fill. When I select the fill option the time is around 1-1/2 hours. I had seen a video where someone used “Offset Fill”. I set it to that and the time dropped down to 18 minutes. However when I use the laser this way it shuts down. I have three of these to do and that is a lot of time to take to do on the “Fill” setting. Any ideas as to why it would shut down? I have upgraded my USB cable to one with two filters/capacitors.

Offset Fill has the laser on nearly continuous. Might be an overheat problem. Lower your power and speed, or make more passes, to reduce the average load on the laser and power supply. I think 36 minutes is still better than 1.5 hours.

I will give that a try thank you. It’s an older laser, I should upgrade to a more powerful one.

It could be something as simple as cleaning the cooling fins on the laser head.
