Ortur rotary roller setup issue using Mac os

Hi, i have an issue i hope someone can shed some light on, thanks in advance…

I have recently received an Ortur rotary roller unit to link to my Ortur LM2.
I run this with lightburn through my MacBook.

The issue i have is that when i connect the roller and turn on the LM2, the roller continually turns (y axis) and the laser head moves left and ‘slams’ into the side .

I have done the following:
enabled rotary
turned off the ‘autohome on startup tab’
turned off the ‘return to finish position tab’

I have looked in the ‘machine settings’ tab and cannot see how to disable the homing at startup, my solution has so far been start the LM2 as normal, let it home, then disconnect the ‘Y’ axis, connect the roller and manually move the laser head to the centre of the roller workpiece.
Not ideal and I’m sure I’m doing something obviously wrong.

My second issue is that with the Mac os controlled lightburn i cannot it seems… adjust the X/Y axis speed between cuts when engraving using the rotary roller, this results in the workpiece shifting or moving off the rollers.
All of the answers i have seen seem to point to adjusting the idle speed? , though this is ‘always’ done in Windows using laser grbl, which i don’t have.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
