I’m trying to cut an outline of just the capital in the file. Any suggestions?
Have you traced the image to get a vector object?
Trace
Move result off the image so you can work on just the object.
Select the object, UNGROUP the object
Hit esc to deselect
Left click and right drag around the thing you want to outline
Press Ctrl+D to make another copy of that object
Put that object on a different layer, and change from FILL to LINE
I brought it in from illustrator, but it would not let me trace. So I converted it to try to get it to trace.
So basically I’m cutting this object out, but only an outline, not all the little windows. When I tried using the offset it cut away the windows.

Something like this but I don’t want the windows selected. Just the outline
Select the whole object
UNGROUP the object
Select individual parts that you do not want to use
DELETE those parts
Select everything again and GROUP them back into a single object
