Is there a way to get a signal from the PC to something to control a compressor for air assist?

Your controller must have a special terminal for connecting the relay, you can turn the auxiliary air on and off by connecting the relay to it

Your user profile says you have a Ruida controller. So you already have it - there’s a pin on the controller called “Wind”. The pin is normally held at 24V until the controller wants to turn on air assist at which point it pulls it to ground. So you connect this with a solenoid valve - check the Ruida documentation for exact wiring details.
