Overscanning No Found

Hello, I have a problem with the overscanning option on lightburn, in fact I can’t find it at all. I’m in the settings for my layer in fill mode, in the advanced settings or not there’s no option, I’ve deactivated and reactivated several options, increased the speed, removed the beginner mode, in short I’ve tried everything but it doesn’t work I can’t find the option… I’m on version 1.7.08, if anyone has any idea what’s going on it would be a huge help :folded_hands:
Thank you all and have a great day!

If you’re using the machine in your profile, there is no user defined overscan. It is a function of the DSP.

@thelmuth is correct. One of the advantages of a dsp type is they compute the correct overscan.

The Ruida only does this for scan values that are multiples of 90 degrees. Any other scan angle causes Lightburn to generate all the control codes for an overscan operation.

If you use the Edit-> device settings → additional settings, you can read from the controller and know what values it uses.

You should be using preview, enable show transversal moves and the head path (red), including overscan, will be shown.

Preview tells you lots of things and I encourage you to just use it before you run a job. It will, at minimum, save you time and materials.

Good luck
