Hi Everyone!
Lightburne software controls a Sculpfun S9 laser. I want to engrave and cut white paper (A4 80g).
I’ve been trying for days, but it doesn’t work.
I made a cutting test with the software’s own test. that didn’t work either.
Either it burns through or nothing is visible.

have you tried altering the power setting against the same speed?
then when your close alter the speed to get the cleanest burn?
dont use air assist as this will only burn the paper more if its too hot and will burn like an ember.
its all trial and error with lower powered lasers like our s9.
Yes, I tried to play with performance and speed separately.
Also with and without air.
with beige paper, engraving and cutting also worked.
Is it working now?
Or is it still failing with white paper…?
White will reflect some of the laser power as it’s a visible light beam and white reflects all visible colors. You might have to bump the power.
Do you get any damage to the white paper?
I will have to try it and see how it works on mine…
All the paper sent with my lasers was beige… interesting…
