Parametros para termos de colores [Parameters for colored thermoses (red, green, black, white, yellow, blue, purple, etc.) and stainless steel]

gracias

Hi, I’m new to laser engraving.
I bought a Commarker B4 50W machine.
I’m struggling with laser engraving on stainless steel thermoses.
Some come out well, while others burn out.

Another question: how do I change the lens parameters? I’m working with a 110 mm x 110 mm lens. I wanted to try the 200 x 200 lens. How do I do it?

Thanks.

The only aspect I can guide you on is engraving stainless steel.
If you search the forum you will find several topics on the subject.
I know that engraving stainless steel is not easy and requires many attempts until you find the ideal settings. I also know that an important aspect is the temperature of the material since the color of the stainless steel is caused by the temperature. Settings that are used successfully at an ambient temperature of 20° will not match if the temperature changes to 30°. Furthermore, it is necessary to take into account the area to be colored; a smaller area, as a rule, heats up faster than a larger area. I think that if you want to obtain the same tone in different areas the settings will have to vary due to the time that the larger area needs to reach the same temperature as the smaller area.

But someone with experience in the matter (because I only know the theory) will give you some pointers.
