Part of design shifts when using copy and paste

I have a set of boxes I use as a template for cutting(I snap my work pieces to it so they’re perfectly lined up). I was working on lining them up to eliminate any extra lines, however whenever I copy and paste it, part of it shifts. It does NOT matter if they are grouped or not.

If I use “Duplicate” it does not shift. But “Copy and Paste” shifts every single time. For example, I will copy a group of squares/rectangles that total 19" x 5.25". When I copy and paste it becomes 19.0002" x 5.25" or 18.9998" x 5.25". I tried remaking the problem shapes from scratch, but its still doing the same thing, or shifting .0002 in the other direction.

Now another issue I discovered. I just saved the file, thinking that maybe I need to restart Lightburn. However when I reopened it, the shapes in the template that were perfectly aligned previously had shifted. The items that I placed on one of the duplicated templates had also shifted, but not in the same way the template shapes did.

Any ideas for how I can remedy this? Have I unwittingly changed some odd setting somewhere?? I’m slightly freaking out. I’ve never had this happen before, or at least I’ve never noticed it.

I doubt it… If you’re willing to share the file I’ll attempt to reproduce the behavior. It seems like snap behavior or rounding error of a type, but I really need to test it to confirm.

Take heart, I think two - tenthousandhts of an inch is a needlessly fine measurement in this case. Jet engines, some bearings and some shop equipment is measured with this type of precision.

If you’re willing to share your file, feel free to post it here. If you’d prefer to share it privately you can send it to me here or email it to Support@lightburnsoftware.com

Thanks John! Just sent you a file and a screenshot. I appreciate you taking a look.
