Perforated edges when cutting - DOT/Perf/Auto Tabs are off

Hi all,

I’m having problems when cutting materials, at all powers, on my Aeon NovaElite 130w. I can slow the unit down to mask the fact, however operating at the speeds I am (S:40mm/s x P:70%), my 80w Red&Black doesn’t show this in the slightest.

The line style seems to pulse, as opposed to cutting a consistent line.

Any ideas?

Tell me this is not the same machine we’ve been screwing around with for the past couple of months …

If it is, then you know what the problem is already.

If it’s not, then … do all the same checks we did on the other one, because that’s exactly what we’d recommend again.

:slightly_smiling_face:

This is the exact same machine, however, as the issue appears to be different (in my mind pulse timing or something along those lines) I am looking to this group, for support (here’s looking at you smarty pants - oh to have your knowledge…).

If it’s as simple as ‘the TEM00 resonance mode will give this exact result - it is the bulb’, then that’s great! :tada:

If not, I assume this post is fair game?

Well, let’s put it this way: when you know the engine in your car is missing a couple of pistons, asking why it makes a funny rattling noise when you back it out of the garage seems kinda pointless.

Defective laser tube is defective, OK?

Deal me out. :spades:

Poor example. I’ve had my 80w laser with a tube that was out of resonance which gave no perforation style edge quality.

What’s with all the sarcasm?

You realise that having a lot more knowledge than most, means people come to you for answers and support, not to be made to look like a fool.

Poor show.

Well, look at it from the other side. After a couple of months of painstaking debugging, we figure out what’s wrong.

A day later, you ask what’s wrong with the same machine, without the courtesy of mentioning the previous effort.

If you’re willing to call it square, I will too.

Fair enough?

I can absolutely agree to that :white_large_square: :+1:
