I would like to ask for somebofdy’s help to get the right setting to engrave a photograph onto a slate.
I have a Sculpfun S9 and I use lightburn to engrave this onto the slate. I’m in a tight schedule and would love for someone who can send me the right setting for photo adjustment and engraving setting.
I usually have the right setting but it’s not working this time round.
Have you tried setting the photo (image) to negative.
Slate usually being dark in colour will burn a lighter colour..As opposed to wood which burns a darker colour.
After that its simply a question of which Image mode gives you the result you want in terms of detail and time taken.
Start with a speed and power setting of your choice and adjust from there til you get it as good as you can.
If you have some material to practice with, you could take (crop) a small section of the picture and focus on that and you could use the Speed/Power adjustments in the Move window to make small adjustments as the image is being engraved…to save time (Note your starting speed/power as you progress.
