Hi, I have a dual laser engraver which combines 30W MOPA with 20W diode. And yesterday I tried to engrave a photo into a 4×4 wood sheet, and I set parameters like 800mm/s speed, 20kHz frequency, and 100% power. And I was sure I used the diode option to engrave.
And when I clicked the “start” button, the laser moved without engraving on the wood sheet. Can anyone help?

A 20watt diode cannot engrave at that speed. That’s 48,000 mm/min. Typical diode engraving speeds are in the 2,000-6,000 mm/min range.

Are you selecting “Laser 2” in the cut layer ?

Yes, please ignore the speed and power. I chose “use laser 2” for wood engraving.

Thanks, I’ll try the recommended speed.
