I was hoping to get some guidance on engraving photos on wood. I usually run my laser (Thunder Nova 24/60w) at 200 mm/s, 35% to engrave photos on wood. I import the unedited picture to light burn and do 300 DPI and on small pictures (4x5) this works ok. However when I enlarge the image to engrave,(16x20) the engravings turn out very light. Is there something I should be doing when I enlarge the photos to get that same contrast as the smaller photos? Like maybe higher DPI? My engravings will be very inconsistent depending on the photo as well. Some of the large photos turn out dark & some turn out very light. Is there some sort of guide I can read somewhere on this topic? Iām very new to this and appreciate all advice. Thank you 
(1st image is small photo, 2nd image is light, big photo, and third image is a big one that turned out dark like Iād like)
