Hey all,
I was one of those folks that got a “40watt laser” which ended up being an atomstack pro “+ 5.5output”. So I have been having a wonderful time learning all the things I cant do with it. I recently had a Ortur lu3 20a module land in my lap. I noticed that the cable is a six pin on the module and that the Atomstack is a 3pin. I see where the board for the atomstack is listed as supporting both 12 and 24v setups and I have looked at the board (LaserBox ESP32 v1.0) it has connectors for 12v in a few places. I don’t want to try being “creative” without a plan and releasing magic smoke. I have a background in computers and some automotive wiring so i am not afraid of a soldering iron. I am a noob with lasers so I am seeking wizdom from my betters. is this the kind of thing I can put together a custom wire for or is there an adapter for this kind of thing or am I looking at a 150 bucks on a new Ortur mobo to use the new laser module? I am greatly apprecitive of any assistance any of you might be able to provide.
Does this help?
Unfortunately no, it mentions other machines but only Ortur machines which I get. They also don’t have a pinout on any of their stuff as far as I have been able to find. I appreciate the suggestion though.
I did also locate a thread on a six pin I/O port that comes on the Ortur LM3but the laser module is supposed to plug into something else as far as I can tell. an additional board. So I am not sure if that is something for follow to far.
Yeah, that was why I posted that link. It shows the other board
I sent an email to Ortur. I am hoping they can give me a definitive answer. If they do i will update it here more info for everyone.
I really think you should look at that link again.
It shows what you need.
Especially this pic:
It has the 12v input on input B and a 24v input on input C.
Then it has the 6 pin output to the laser.
It’s $39.99 on their site
I must have went right past that thing. Thanks.
