Pixelated burns

Hi I just got an xtools d1 10w laser and iv been engraving pucks. Ok finding that that images are pixelated. You can really see the lines in the engravings. Anyone have any idea why this could be happening ?
I was using a ginmetsu jinsoku 5w before and never had these problems.

Looks like backlash, how fast are you running? Have you enabled the scanning offset? Also do you have overscan enabled?

I’m running at 50 speed and 80 power . I have no scanning offset enabled. I admit I didn’t know what that was untill half hour ago but I did some tests and it seems I don’t really need one .
I have 2.5% over scanning on. What are your thoughts ?

I assume by 50 speed you mean 50mm/s, diodes are generally best in mm/min. However, that should be 3000mm/min, which should be fine. I usually run about 3% overscan myself. Doublecheck your belt tension and check the grub screw on the belt pulley. There’s been reports of it coming loose and letting the pulley shift back and forth, causing slack on direction change.

Try this as a test, uncheck “bi-directional” engraving
WIll it clean the engrave?
If so, you have a X axis slack/belt issue, motion issue to address
