That totally works, and especially with the batman and the fish (imo). The subject being outside the background is also very effective.
I did this practice piece some months ago and decided to frame it as it was my first completed piece and would most likely get damaged lying around the workshop.
It’s three images on slate (300×600mm) that were out of context with each other, so I thought I’d work on that principle and attempt the slightly surreal look.
Your new technique and suggestions on how it can be advanced..open up a whole range of possibilities.
