Port Failed to Open error

I got a new AtomStack X24 Ultra Laser and have not been able to use it. I get a Port failed to open error. I have switched out the mother board per AtomStack and tried everything. The computer appear to not see the laser. I am beyond frustrated. Some people have told me to get the cheapest, dumbest usb hub I can get and put it between the computer and the laser. I am not sure what this would look like as my connections both at the laser and the computer are all USB C. I am using a MacBook Pro with current software updates. I am So Beyond Frustrated!

This is a known solution, so why not do it?

The Reason: MAC USB-C assumes USB 3.x and will not downshift to USB 2.x needed for the laser. The hub makes it do the switching.

Sadly nothing Laser Manufactureres can do - retroactivly at least.
Nor LightBurn can do.

Would be neat if future Lasers had 3.0 USB but thats highly doubtful as theres zero gain - and massive costs of implementation.
