Positioning problems with an MKS DLC32 on an Ortur LM2 frame

So I just replaced my factory controller board on my Ortur LM 2 with an MKS DLC32 v2.1 board and is mostly working. The problem that I am having is it remembering the positioning of the head. If I do a homing and start a burn it will begin the burn from the homed position even if the design is nowhere near the homed position. Also, if I stop a burn midway through and then tell it to start again it just starts from where it is instead of going to the beginning of where it had originally started. One other weird thing is if I do a homing and then tell it to move the laser head to the middle of the object it goes to where it should be. How can I get the laser to start where it is supposed to and also remember where it currently is so that if I hit start from its last stopping point that it will go back to where it is supposed to start and not from wherever it is currently? I haven’t run into issues like this before and am baffled. I have gone through the GRBL settings and haven’t seen any glaring issues. Below are my current GRBL settings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What are you using for your “Start from” mode?

Also, can you run these commands one at a time in Console after homing and return results?

$#
?

So after some close examination it appears that my Start from had changed to Current Position. Changed it to Absolute Coords and all is good in Laser Land again. Thanks!
