I have this 12V module: Genmitsu 5.5 W Compressed Spot Fixed Focus FAC Laser Module with Air Assist Nozzle | SainSmart – SainSmart.com
In the “what’s included” it has the manual and shows the laser control board that came with it.
Is it possible/practical to use this module on my LM3? - thanks

You would need a second power supply, I guess. Definitely possible, but if it’s worth it is up to you

Control signals are the same, so it’s possible.
You have to deal with a different supply voltage.
You can check the power requirements for each. It maybe possible to put in a voltage regulator. Or as @misken advised a separate power supply.

Ortur sells a OUC board, which main job is to allow 12v and 24v to “live” peacefully
Thats the best way to do it
Alternativly you need to divde as said, 12v and PWM signal and avoid 12v and 24v to touch eachother. Doable… maybe even cleaner than with the OUC board
