Post 1.7 Linux Seats

I have some questions regarding the Linux end of support. I have searched a bit, and either the questions aren’t answered, or they’re buried in thread.

LightBurn will no longer be supported on Linux after 1.7x, correct?

Will the 1.7x appimage be available in perpetuity?

Will I be able to run 1.7x with any future license/seat purchase? (Example, I need more seats, current version is 1.9, will I be able to run 1.7x with a 1.9 key?)

Will version 1.7x licenses be available in later versions at a discounted rate since they no longer have the modern feature set?

I’m not in a position to future-proof myself buy buying extra seats in case I’ll need more in the future, but I’d like to ensure that the licenses I buy prior to 1.8 aren’t the only seats I’ll be able to use for the rest of my life.

I assume your intent is to allow users to continue to use Linux, just without your development time, but I’d like to be assured that I can buy new seats in the future, even if I need to contact the team directly, as opposed to using an automated storefront.

Yes.

Yes - A LightBurn license is a LightBurn license - they aren’t versioned. So unless our license provider migrates to a new system and we are unable to continue working with the older one (which is unlikely) nothing should change there.

No, because there is no such thing as a “1.7 version license” - just a LightBurn license. Licenses are not for a specific version of the software, or a specific platform.

Wonderful. I’m sad to see Linux support go (and the announcement seems that you are, too) but it’s already a very solid piece of software, so this works just fine. Thanks!
