I bought 1lb bags of Green, Black, Red and Green, and New Orleans Saints Gold from ebay. Various sellers.
They went up in price since I bought them, but really happy.
I did use more than one coat. I also found that putting them into the oven set to 200 worked really well. I then came back with the heat gun to make them shine and not be dull (if there were any spots).
The heat gun method was tough as I started off about a foot away and slowly came closer. You are correct…The powder tended to blow away until it got hot and started to melt. I just checked after 20 mins to see how well the powder had melted. In one case I forgot the material in the oven for couple hours lol no problems though it was really hot wood.
