Power max above 25% causing jerky movements

I just changed lasers and have been having issues with Power Max settings above 20%

At 20% a circle burns nicely, but if I bring it up to 25% the carriage jerks and stops about once per second. Here is a video of what it is doing: https://youtu.be/1tEe-9IGFpc

I still have not figured out what on earth is causing this unusual behaviour. The gcode for both is identical, except the power.

I’m far from an expert, but does your $30=255 match the S value in the devise settings screen?

I just re-read your last post.
The power settings has to be set the same.
