Hi,
I have been using LightBurn (LB) for a number of years (4th licence renewal) and an Atomstack 5.
All has worked well but (Love the editing feature) Deciced to upgrade to a enclosed machine and went for the Falcon A1 10w (not the pro).
The problem I have is that the power setting I have been using in the Falcon Design Space (FDC) software do not work in LB infact I have problems cutting anything.
Example, I cut a lot of 1/16" to 1/4" bulsa for model aircraft building.
In FDC fo 1/16" I use 35% power 1200mm Speed and 1 pass this gives me a very nice sharp cut.
In LB the same settings hardly make a mark on the wood. If i crank it up to 100% power get a rather iffy cut.
I’m on 2.0.02 of LB
I cant see that I’m doing anything wrong haveing used LB for a number of years.
Please post a screenshot (not a cell phone pic) of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon).
OK, that’s what I thought the issue probably was. You’re running in mm/sec not mm/min, that’s 60X the desired speed. Make the change in device settings (Wrench & Screwdriver icon).
Hi Tim, I find it very usefull as I can get the most out of the woo, it saves a lot of waste.
I have the camera working it’s just the picture of the wood and where it cuts aren’t in the same place.
I can work on that now I can actually cut wood.
Onec again Thanks.
